UTRECHT – RTV Utrecht has won two NL Awards. These are the annual awards for the best regional radio and television productions.
RTV Utrecht received an award in the Documentary category for “De Koersk.” This production by Erwin Raasveld tells the gripping story of the Van Seumeren brothers from De Meern, who managed to salvage the sunken nuclear submarine, the Kursk, in the Barents Sea.
Ulrike Nagel and Eva Munnik of RTV Utrecht won the award in the Radio Feature category. They created a real-life soap opera centered on streets in Utrecht and Amersfoort that were completely decked out in orange during last summer’s World Cup.
The NL Awards were presented during the ROOS Days, the annual conference for regional program producers. The awards for the best productions by regional broadcasters are presented annually.
